Aside from being one of the specific categories of the GARM Brand Safety Floor, terrorism is a true threat to society, and human safety here and abroad. Now, through open-source software made available by Meta, you can enlist in the industry-wide tech and knowledge-sharing collaboration against real-time terrorism threats and propaganda.
The tool, recently updated and expanded in scope, is called Hasher-Matcher-Actioner (HMA), and is part of the set of solutions for the Global Internet Forum to Counter Terrorism (GIFCT). Meta, along with YouTube, Twitter, and Microsoft, launched GIFCT in 2017, along with government and civil society organizations, and became a recognized non-profit following the 2019 Christchurch mosque attacks.
The software identifies copies of images and videos and raises the red flags that enable you to take action. Join the fight!
